About Atticus Finch

Project: Projection-Mapping Animation for Saudi Arabian Water Park
Role: 3D Generalist (Environment & FX)
Studio: Atticus Finch Ltd, London

I worked as a 3D generalist on a large-scale projection-mapping animation, built to be projected onto a mountain at a new water park in Saudi Arabia. The story follows a camel travelling through imaginative, character-filled landscapes.

I built environments, developed visual effects, and animated the transitions between scenes. Transitions were my focus: I used Blender’s geometry nodes to create procedural sand systems that carried movement and texture through key moments.

The trickiest challenge was designing modular environments that repeat seamlessly while still letting scenes flow naturally. It took a lot of iteration, and close work with the art director and supervisor refining models, textures, and lighting.

Technically demanding, deeply rewarding, and a genuinely sharp, collaborative team. I’d happily work with them again. More of their work at atticusfinch.tv.

Note: the videos here cover only the scenes I worked on personally, not the full animation, which is still in development.
